Online/Hybrids Definitions:
- Courses with a 60 extensions are called online classes (for example CIS-10500-60)
Online classes meet totally
online. You do not have
face to face class sessions with your instructors.
The Online
Orientation is required for students who register for online classes
and have not already taken the orientation.
- Courses with an 80 extensions are called a Hybrid courses (for
example ECO-20100-80)
Hybrid courses are a combination of online and
face to face instruction.
Most assignments and communication with
the instructor take place online.
The Online Orientation is required
for students who register for hybrid classes
and have not already
taken the orientation.
- Courses with a 90 extensions are called web enhanced courses
(for example ALH-10101-90)
Web
enhanced students meet each week on-campus and spend
x number of hours Online; taking tests, utilizing the grade book, and perhaps
submitting assignments.
The Online Orientation is NOT required for
web enhanced courses.
