Welcome

The eLearning department at Kirtland Community College is primarily concerned with making a student's online learning experience a success.

We provide the tools and the support a student needs in order to be able to concentrate on the course content.

Anytime you are working in myClassroom and have error messages, problems displaying content, or experiencing frustration or difficulties - that is the time to contact us for assistance. See "4 Ways to Get Help" at the right of all our web pages.

There are four main areas where we can assist you.

1. myClassroom, Your Online Learning Environment
2. About Available Online Courses at KCC
3. Online Student Orientation

The purpose of the Online Orientation course is to assist new online students with the understanding of how to use the different online elements. The course familiarizes you with the tools that may be necessary to succeed in your myClassroom courses.

This is primarily a required course; failure to complete the course will result in you being dropped from your online/hybrid class. To find out if your online course requires the orientation, please refer to Online Course Definitions.  Students are required to complete their Online Orientation prior to beginning their online course.  For a detailed schedule, visit the Online Orientation Schedule.

You may review the Online Orientation Course Description for more information on what you will be asked to complete.

4. Student Resources for Online Learning

Our Student Resources are divided into two areas, Technical Requirements and Online Student Resources. If you are having trouble displaying online coursework in myClassroom, check the technical requirements.  If you are having trouble with required online research, Wi-Fi locations, or tutoring, check the Online Student Resources.

Technical requirements

Browsers, browser plug-ins, software, hardware, and the software requirements for specific courses such as CIS.

Online Student Resources

Campus specific online resources and other web sources that may assist you. This includes tutoring, textbooks, library and writing related resources.
